Parents,
I’m sorry to report that the KISL City Meet has been officially cancelled.
I can’t tell you how disappointing this is. The swimmers have worked incredibly hard, and both I and the other
coaches were excited to see how well they were going to do. We’ve had a great season, and it’s been a lot of fun
getting to know these kids and watching them grow over the past few months.
It is my hope that a solution will be found to allow these swimmers to properly close the season with a championship meet.

Message from Knox County / KISL Board:
“In light of the winter weather forecast and extreme cold expected this weekend, all KCS-sponsored activities
scheduled for Saturday (1/31/26) and Sunday (2/1/26), including athletics and
extracurricular events, are cancelled. All KCS buildings will also be closed for activities and community use.”
“The KISL Board will meet with UT representatives after the storm to discuss potential make-up days and will do
everything possible to host a championship-quality meet.”

At this time, I will not plan any practices until we know what may happen next. I’ll share updates as soon as I receive them.
